
Ensured quality and standardization (levelness) across the four levels of the Fashion Design curriculum and benchmarked the same to the international standard of design education delivery.
Established IIAD as an R&D-focused design school on national and international platforms.
Worked closely with academicians at Kingston University (UK), Nottingham Trent University (UK), Manchester University and Domus Academy (Milan) for validating design course curriculums (Fashion Design and Fashion Communication program at BA and MA level, at IIAD) and annual course quality audit, meeting the QAA requirements.
Set up the Fashion Design Department at NIFT (Chennai), Pearl Academy (PA) and Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) as the founding member and course leader
Facilitated partnership and student exchange program with Coventry University and UTS Australia at IIAD.
Conceptualized and led collaborative projects, involving students from Pearl Academy & White Cliff University (New Zealand) and formalized student exchange programs across international campuses.
Introduced innovation in pedagogy and innovative formats of project-based learning at UG and PG levels in collaboration with industry partners like 11.11 design studio (Denim Project), Handmade in Britain (Identity/Human project), North East Network (Backstrap loom weaving project), Fabindia (Barmer project), Azad India Foundation (Kheta project), etc.
Conceptualised and executed visits to craft clusters as part of interdisciplinary projects, involving students and collaborating with master craftsmen and artisans in regions across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Ladakh, Nepal, Bhutan.
Successfully transitioned from in-person to online learning mode, actively implementing ERP, LMS (Blackboard) & other online platforms that supported student engagement and learning.
Improved teacher-student ratio ensuring quality academic delivery, and faculty development initiatives like mentoring fellow team members for PG certifications in HE.
Established partnerships with industry leaders and facilitated student admissions as per graduate profiling.
Planned semester-wise students’ work evaluations, internships & placements and faculty development workshops.
Collaborated with the marketing team to organize awareness campaigns across schools and coaching centres to increase student enrolment.
